Ferrari Day - Maranello (Second Round)

Share
Long time since I've written something around here. This seems to be the first post of 2010 so I'll use the occasion to wish you all Happy New Year and if you feel this came too late, consider it a Happy New Chinese Year!

So, seems like I'm back online writing on popular demand of my hardcore fans and, for the rest of you people who thought I might be dead and already in putrefaction state at this time, I just want to say that I was pinned down with the exams at the University; session just ended Friday so in the next weeks I'll be poking you with some new subjects.

First subject is my second visit to the Ferrari Museum in the city of Maranello, in Italy, near Modena and Bologna. I know my last post was written in Romanian and I am sorry for those of you who wanted it to remain that way, but some of the international folks that visit my blog were disappointed by the fact that they could only see the images and not be able to read the text; I hope that soon I'll be able to translate the first text into English too. In case you missed the story and images from my first trip to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello clickie-click here and if you're not Romanian at least enjoy the images.

A friend of mine had another friend visiting him in Italy and because he knew I am a big automotive fan he invited me along and that's the reason I went another time to the Museum, plus the fact that last August I bought a new camera and I wanted to try it out and the fact I knew that the administrators of the Museum change the cars from season to season; more precisely, if you go in May you will see some Ferrari models and if you go again in January you will see other models… And that's exactly what happened this time and that's why I went again.

From the beginning let me say that I totally skipped the Formula 1 area this time: there were some changes there, but Formula 1 cars seem to be the same more or less so, after seeing two LeMans Ferrari, I went directly to the street legal Ferraris. Honestly there is not much to say about them in words; it's a car Museum not a science or history museum so I'll just let the images talk for me. Hope you will enjoy them.

Ferrari FXX - probably the biggest attraction of the Showroom considering that there are only about 30 of these in the entire world. As you all know from my previous visit to Maranello I am & will be the F-40 number one fan, but the FXX and it's smaller brother Enzo are also very impressive Ferraris...

Next automotive trips on the list are the visits to the Lamborghini, Maserati, Ducatti Factories & Museums all of them within a 100km radius from where I'm standing right now, so expect some interesting stuff in the next months.
